LANDING SANITATION & RECYCLING INFORMATION:

Roxbury Township collects both garbage and recyclables on the same day in different collection vehicles. Blue Diamond is the contractor used. Please help the workers easily identify your recyclables by clearly marking your containers. Stickers for this purpose are available at the Municipal building or by calling 448-2000. It is also helpful if you leave a space between your garbage and recyclables when placing them at curbside.

All garbage and recyclables must be placed at curbside no later than 5:30 am on your scheduled collection day. The maximum weight of each bag or container is 50 Ibs. A maximum of five (5) containers of trash will be collected each collection day. Carpeting must be cut up into lengths no longer than 4 feet to be placed at curbside. There is no limit on the amount of recylables that will be collected. In the event of an emergency or snow storm, priority is placed on the collection of trash. Recyclables should be held until the next scheduled collection day for that item or may be brought to the recycling center.

DISPOSAL OF BULKY WASTE

One bundle of lumber or other building material will be collected with your regular trash weekly. The bundles must weigh less than 50 Ibs. and have all nails, etc. removed. For other renovation projects, you must obtain a dumpster from a private hauler or utilize the Morris County Transfer Station, Gold Mine Road, Flanders. Phone them at 973-347-8108 for additional information and current fees for disposal of BULK waste at the county dump site.
